Rituals

Effective 5 October 2026

Privacy Policy

The short version: Rituals does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Who we are. Rituals is an iPhone app made by Uppervox (“we”). Questions about this policy: hello@uppervox.com.

What the app stores, and where

The rituals you create, the days you keep them and the notes you write are stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for Rituals, Apple syncs this data to your own private iCloud account so it appears on your other devices. It is stored in your iCloud private database, which we cannot access. We have no servers that receive your data.

Apple Health

If you choose to link a ritual to Apple Health, Rituals asks for permission to read the measures you select: steps, exercise minutes, mindful minutes, active energy, walking and running distance, and water. Rituals never writes to Apple Health.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your device as local notifications. No push service or third party is involved.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email or payment details. Apple tells the app only whether your subscription is active, and that check happens on your device.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

Rituals contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

This website

This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no scripts. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site; we do not use it to identify you.

Children

Rituals is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Your control and deletion

Because your data lives on your devices and in your iCloud, you control it directly:

We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to export or delete. If you have a question, write to hello@uppervox.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
